A fashion design student who went to school in Hertfordshire has had her work displayed on Oxford Street in London.
Angela Olsen, 24, a fashion design graduate from the University of Leeds, entered two competitions to have her graduate work showcased, she won them both.
Ms. Olsen is originally from South Africa but went to school in Hertfordshire, first at Loretto and then at West Herts College to do a fashion module.
The first competition she entered was the Graduate Fashion Week x W1 Curates, with the prize being her work showcased on the Flannels store in Oxford Street in London.
The second was a Tik Tok fashion competition in which she and a group entered and won and she now gets the opportunity to do a residency at Tik Tok, designing fashion.
Ms. Olsen said she entered the competition only 24 hours before it closed and a week later she got a call to say she had won.
“I didn’t really know how to feel about it until I saw it and then it was quite surreal seeing my own work across three storeys, it was crazy.”
