Kaia Gerber’s French Girl Street Style Looks Are Back With A Bang

Unbeknownst to the cohort of supermodels that frequented the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris for autumn/winter 2020, the smooth-sailing schedule would be the last of its kind. It was the final period in which attendees could enjoy the fashion circus IRL, before street style moments were put on hold just weeks later.

At the time, Kaia Gerber utilised the dashes in between shows to flaunt her wardrobe of fashion-forward outfits that she’d packed for her various city trips. But since the pandemic she’s switched up her off-duty look, favouring sporty gym attire for everyday wear while out and about in LA. Occasionally, she’s styled her athleisure goods with cachet buys from Celine, including her expansive collection of the maison’s bags.

Marc Jacobs tempted Kaia to set her activewear aside.

Marc Jacobs’s autumn/winter 2021 show on 28 June – the designer’s first show since autumn/winter 2020 – tempted Kaia to set her activewear aside. After over a year of restrictions, she was once again was able to rub shoulders with her contemporaries, including Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam and Selena Forrest.

The young supermodel relied on her trusted French Girl style formula: a navy Breton top, Celine Tournon blazer, chocolate-brown tailored trousers, a patterned silk necktie, Celine sunnies, and the brand’s cult Ava bag in sage, plus its preppy Maillons Triomphe loafers for the outing. Naturally, the bookworm packed a rousing read for her work visit and was seen carrying a copy of What We Talk About When We Talk About Love by Raymond Carver.
